Meagan Wesley, APCC

Meagan Wesley is a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a psychodynamic, trauma-informed approach. In therapy, Meagan works with clients to process unresolved conflicts from the past to bring awareness to present-day problems and symptoms. This insight can help reveal patterns of how one has developed certain defense mechanisms over time. In therapy one can learn to replace these defenses with healthy coping skills.

Meagan is sensitive to trauma-related experiences and approaches her work within the context of its impact. As a queer identified person, Meagan works well with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community.

“We cannot selectively numb emotions, when we numb the painful emotions, we also numb the positive emotions.”
