Veronica Netniss is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with advanced degrees in Sociology, Education Counseling, and Clinical Mental Health. She specializes in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, cultural awareness issues, cross-cultural adjustment, identity exploration, trauma/PTSD, and challenges faced by disadvantaged individuals and communities.

 

Her therapeutic approaches are integrative, combining CBT, DBT, Mindfulness Practices, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, while also incorporating evidence-based practices like Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT), Psychoeducation, Multicultural Counseling, and Humanistic Psychology.

Her ideal clients are adults and young adults (18+), particularly those who are first-generation or immigrant clients, Middle Eastern individuals and families, BIPOC communities, and individuals navigating cultural and identity-related challenges. She focuses on supporting those dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, intergenerational trauma, and the intersection of mental health and socioeconomic stressors.

 

Working with Veronica means being in a supportive, empathetic, and culturally informed therapeutic environment. She fosters a collaborative atmosphere where clients feel validated and empowered. She is passionate about integrating clients’ cultural backgrounds and lived experiences into the therapeutic process, offering a safe space to process emotions and challenges without judgment. Her bilingual ability in English and Assyrian/Aramaic also helps clients feel more comfortable and understood, particularly when navigating cultural or linguistic barriers.
